Sizzler is a web page designer utility for creating Sizzler sprite animations. You can use many Macintosh multimedia programs to create PICs or QT movies that can be converter to Sizzler format with the Sizzler converter tool. If you have WebPainter, you don't need the Sizzler Converter, as WebPainter includes the converter in it's export settings.
Sizzler creates Sprite files which are streaming animation files for the Web. QuickTime movies and PICS files can be dropped on the Sizzler application and the result is a highly compressed interactive animation Sprite file. The Sizzler Editor also acts as a previewer of Sizzler files to simulate how long they take to display and view at 14.4bps, 28.8bps, or ISDN rates so that you can make sure your Sizzler files are small enough for all to view without lengthy delays. The Sizzler Plug-in displays the Sprite files within Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer 2.0 or NS plug-in compatible browsers. Sizzler adds animation to the static text and graphics of HTML web page documents.
Sizzler Usage Tips
-----------------
Sizzler creates Sprite files that are streamed over the Web and played as they are received by Netscape Navigator 2.0 and the Sizzler Plug-in. At the present time the Sizzler application can convert QuickTime movies and PICS files into Sprite files. The conversion process may take a few moments and may require you to give Sizzler more memory if you are converting large QuickTime movies or PICS files. An EMBED tag with the correct dimensions is printed by Sizzler and can be copied and pasted into your HTML documents.
